Thanks 2017!
In 2017 I tried on a lot of spandex. I wore spandex in all facets of my life and it was, should I say, very comfortable? 2017 has been an amazing year for the growth of Schimiggy Reviews. It was such a honor to represent and collaborate with so many brands and companies. I was also able to connect with other bloggers and the activewear community who made all this possible.
I look forward to growing my blog and relationships with businesses and the world in 2018. Activewear is only a portion of how I envision I want to share my obsessions with the world! I created a travel group and blog, secured a business prospect through The Moovment and have some big adventures lined up for the new year. Stay tuned for what’s to come in 2018!
Before we delve into the new year, I want to share my activewear favorites from 2017. These pieces have been part of my fashion on a regular basis because they’ve been tried and trusted. I hope you got the opportunity to enjoy and love these pieces too!

These are my favorite leggings. I wear them constantly because they fit well and look great!

Sport Bras
My go to bras is still the lululemon Free to Be Bra ($48) and the Lorna Jane’s Beach Active Sports Bra ($59.99), which is great for both land and water activities! I purchased the Lorna Jane bra in Las Vegas when I needed a swimsuit for the pool parties. The fabric is amazing, anti-stink and will hold up for a very long time!
Tank Tops
My two go to tank tops for 2017 were lululemon’s In Training (left) and Raise the Barre tops (right). I can’t believe I was able to snag both of these on sale ($39 each). I’m surprised these did not sell out. The In Training top is great for high impact sports and looks very slimming and modest. The Raise the Barre top was great for sweaty hot yoga and the back looks amazing! I went true to size with both tops.
Outerwear
I wanted to find a staple puffy jacket and coat for the rain and snow. Here are the two jackets I chose out of the dozens that I tried. Lululemon and Mackage got my vote for best outerwear.
1. lululemon Brave the Cold puffy coat ($298) and 2. Mackage Rena D Coat with Fur Trim ($990)
Shoes
1. Nike Flyknit Racer running shoes ($150) and 2. New Balance x Sweaty Betty Bamboo Limited Edition sneakers ($150), 3. Cole Haan Pinch Weekender ($100) – OK these aren’t work out shoes, but I wear them to run errands and to yoga!
What were some of your 2017 activewear favorites? If not activewear, I’d love to hear about anything that you were excited about in 2017!
